Gruppo degli amiciChronologically speaking, a group of friends who have long enjoyed talking about Sanremo and love its history, decided in 2017 to create a group on Facebook with the same passion as theirs, naming it Sanremo History and Traditions, and which immediately found an appreciation enthusiastic.

The global consensus obtained by the subscribers pushed us to go further by creating this Site.

Inside it speaks exclusively of the history and traditions of our city, starting from the most ancient times up to the present day. There you will find anecdotes, curiosities, testimonies, memories, photographic images, drawings, documents, brochures, books and traditions that from Villa Matuciana and Castrum Sancti Romuli,
through the centuries, they take us to the Sanremo of our days.

The goal is to always keep alive the memory of our beloved city and to make it full of arguments coming from the creators of the Group, as from the interventions of our members of the Group with their posts, be they images, texts cited, comments or personal testimonies that can enrich everyone's knowledge,
which will always be welcome.

In this regard, however, we want to warn, for the avoidance of posthumous misunderstandings, that the material published on the Group, unless explicitly opposed by the author, will also be considered available on this platform.

As regards access to the Group, the conditions always remain in force
mentioned in the preamble at the beginning of the Group's notifications.

The Site is self-financed and therefore no advertising banner will be found.
The use of the Site is quite simple, if you do not want to turn between all the topics,
just enter the required topic in the appropriate field
on the home page and then consult the page.
Good navigation.
